Any console fanboy with logos plastered to their game cases, cars, t-shirts or trapper keepers will spend roughly 90% of their free time telling the rest of the world why their video game platform is so much better than yours. (Actually, that's the definition of fanboy). But which consoles really were the best at the time? Which consoles were overlooked because they were caught inbetween "generations" of video game consoles? Ultimately, which console has withstood the test of time to be the very best (or worst)? Stealing an over-used journalism technique, let's make some lists! (I'm setting my fanboy phasers to "stun" for the rest of this column).

REVIEW: Follow the Leader -Lemmings (1991)

As a new video gamer during the George H. W. Bush administration, I really can only recall a few games that stuck with me from that time through the next Bush presidency and beyond. I was still working on a vocabulary that was bigger than crying and monosyllabic nonsense, but it took only a few years into my life to pick up a controller and know what to do with it. Not to kill the suspense, but this is one of those games.

REVIEW: Crashin' has Never Felt so Good: Castle Crashers (2008)

How many independently developed games have you played and actually liked? Most of them are too short and just don't deliver like the big dogs. However, that is not the case with Castle Crashers. Rescue the princess and fight your friends for her kiss. Man, I don't think I've ever had this much fun with a downloadable game on the Xbox.

REVIEW: Smitten by the Stars - Super Mario RPG (1996)

Super Mario has been around for decades. But only once has he ventured into the world of turn-based RPG (Role-Playing Game for all you noobs out there).  Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is honestly my favorite Mario game to date. What happens when Mario gets smitten by the stars? Let's find out.

REVIEW: Scaring You Out of Your Seat - Haunting (1993)

AHHHHH! I remember this game like it was yesterday. You get to be the poltergeist and jump into objects to scare a family out of their home...multiple times. But dude, the slimeballs deserve it! Let's jump into the review.

REVIEW: Behind the Seams - Kirby's Epic Yarn (2010)

Kirby's Epic Yarn. Where do I even start with this game. A lot of Kirby fans despise this game claiming it's not a REAL Kirby game, it's just not true to the franchise.  Kirby's Epic Yarn didn't seem like a terrible game to me because it wasn't true to the franchise but that's because I only have played minutes of past Kirby games.  Childish Graphics and way too easy? Maybe, but let's dive deeper into the worlds of Kirby's Epic Yarn.
